fore meeting. It is our protocol to ask these questions prior to the interview.”
YOU:
“I completely understand. Thank you for your observation. Have you ever had the
experience of meeting someone, after speaking to them on the phone, and deter-
mined they were completely different when you met him or her in-person. You can
probably relate to this yourself. Tools we use to communicate with one another are
not available on the phone. Eye contact, body language and other non verbal queues
are important qualities that are only available in-person.
I ask that we schedule a time to meet. I promise that scheduling a meeting today will
be the best decision you have made this year.”
Now it is time to practice the art of getting to the appointment. As you
begin your practice, you can now move to steps four and fve, prepare the
resume and manage the interview.
Step Four is the single most important step. It will assist you in creating a
resume that attracts employers. After preparing your resume, you will get
answers to the questions outlined in this guide and start rehearsing each
question to fully prepare for the face-to-face interview.
