At Point Two, you are asking a series of questions to help design your
responses. You are also acquiring the information you need to best pre-
pare for the face-to-face interview.
* Notice that “point one” moved you to “point two” through the
redirecting technique.
At point two, the objective is to gain answers to the following questions
prior to asking for the appointment:
1. Outside of the job description, what other qualities does the ideal
applicant possess?
2. What outcomes is the company looking to achieve by flling this
position?
3. Traditionally, what activities have top producers engaged in to be
successful in this position?
NOTE
:
Don’t try to be the person you think the interviewer wants you to be.
Instead try to identify ways you can become an asset to this company.
At the end, you may conclude that this is not the right position for
you. And if you conclude that you are, show them why.
