of the job-fnding process. Jobs paying $35K or higher are
asking for a bachelor’s degree and a master’s is quickly be-
come the norm.
A high school education may no longer be enough to secure
the higher-paying jobs. But if you are not planning to attain
a higher education, no worries. There are still plenty of op-
portunities out there for everyone. Some employers will over-
look education for the right attitude, willingness to learn, or
strong team spirit.
But how do you communicate these qualities in a way that in-
creases your chances of being considered a likely candidate?
The frst thing to remember is this:
Communicate only what the employer asks for.
If the requirements ask for a bachelor’s degree, do not in-
clude your master’s degree on the resume if you have one. I
am sure if you have a master’s, you are proud of your accom-
plishment, and you should be.
However, remember that each degree provides you with an
advantage you use only when needed. You see, a PhD gives
you the advantage to apply for jobs a person with a master’s
or bachelor’s cannot.
